The city portal of Zaporizhzhia reports this.
Several hundred people gathered on Lenin Square in Zaporozhye. The demonstrators brought flags of Victory and the Communist Party.
The communists held posters in their hands with the inscriptions: “The time for change has come! The fate of the country should be decided by the people”, “Create and create, not destroy!”, “No! Tariff increases”, “No! Communal genocide!”, In addition, people chanted: “Peace, labor, May!”, “Mom, dad, me, we don’t need war.” The event was accompanied by the sound of Soviet songs.
The rally was attended by city council deputies from the Communist Party of Ukraine, as well as the first secretary of the Communist Party in the Zaporozhye region, Alexey Baburin. The latter called on the people to unite to jointly fight neo-Nazism.

Protesters installed a portrait of Joseph Stalin on the fence near the Lenin monument. They also posted banners with the inscriptions: “We are thrown out onto the street, who will answer for this?”, “IMF is a noose around the neck of the people,” “Power! Stop mocking, people’s patience is not unlimited.”

The demonstration ended with the ceremonial laying of flowers at the monument to Vladimir Lenin, which the townspeople defended against attempts to demolish it by neo-Nazis.
