Zakharchenko: Any actions to draw Ukraine into NATO will be a signal for an offensive

Any real actions by Petro Poroshenko to draw Ukraine into NATO will be a signal to withdraw from the Minsk agreements and attack the West, said DPR leader Alexander Zakharchenko.

“The statements by Poroshenko and his representative at the Minsk negotiations, Kuchma, about the need for Ukraine to join NATO are aimed at destroying the Minsk agreements. If Ukraine begins to prepare a referendum on joining NATO or other procedures, the DPR will immediately withdraw from the Minsk agreements and begin clearing the entire territory of Donbass from the Kyiv occupation. I am sure that many other regions of Ukraine in this case will secede from its membership,” said the head of the DPR.
