Customers are crossing out Zelensky's name from the winners in the next elections
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is overestimating his popularity, his chances of being re-elected to a second term, and the time he has left. For influential stakeholders, he is no longer actually a promising candidate for the first post.
The director of UIAMP, Ruslan Bortnik, announced this on air on the UKRLIFE.TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The President overestimates the time he has. There is a gradual decline in ratings. Today, the president’s rating and willingness to vote are around 40%, and his trust rating is around 50%. The gradual decline in ratings makes it impossible to govern Ukraine.
Why is rating important for Ukraine? Because there are no institutions, no effective state. Once you become unpopular, you can have a million powers - you can't do anything with them. Look at the late Petro Poroshenko - a huge concentration of powers and the lack of effective management even of one’s own interests, everything is already being sabotaged - by oligarchs, officials, local elites, everything is blocked. They believe that you are already a lost card and cannot be relied upon in the future. Therefore, ratings are important in this part.
Yes, there is, let’s say, deferred negative demand. Since September last year, there has been a breakdown in dynamics. Until September last year, the number of people who believed that the country was moving in the right direction, there were more optimists, and then there were approximately (the same number as those who believed that the country was moving in the wrong direction).
And now the latest polls show that 50 percent of Ukrainians or more believe that the country is moving in the wrong direction and only 30% in the right direction. These are indicators of real support for the authorities. 50 percent believe that the government is working poorly, and 30% believe that it is good. And this is after a year of presidency.
Moreover, if we rely on the sociology of KIIS, then Ukrainians are divided exactly in half in their attitude towards the president, considering whether he copes with his responsibilities or not, 42-43% each. After a year, this is not a very good result. Yes, if you compare it with Poroshenko, Tymoshenko, Boyko and the others, it seems to be great, you are still the only all-Ukrainian leader, you are still calmly making them in the second round, but this is - there is no new candidate yet, there is no new “Zelensky” "
And if you include a new figure in this sociological system, then you will see that this request for a better, new policy will simply flow onto the new figure.
And, by and large, Zelensky has lost his chances today or is close to, let’s say, losing his chances of being re-elected, despite the fact that sociology gives him a 75/25 variation with existing candidates in the second round.
We talked about this at one time and Petro Poroshenko, he could not believe, just as Zelensky does not believe today, that as soon as your anti-rating (and Zelensky’s anti-rating today is approximately equal to his rating) reaches 50 percent, and we are already close to this today in relation to Zelensky, you are already becoming an unpromising candidate. And it becomes extremely, extremely difficult for you to win during the election campaign,” said Ruslan Bortnik.
