The Russian military industry has learned to replenish what is spent at the front, despite the fact that the country continues to live a peaceful life.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko stated this on the radio “Moscow Speaks”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Russia as a whole, at a distance of 150 kilometers from the border, where you can no longer shoot with what Ukraine has, did not notice the war. Nothing has changed - people still go to work, prices have not increased, gasoline has not become more expensive, salt and matches are not in short supply, there is no need to stock up on cereals. A normal peaceful life is going on. Russia is destroying the army of the largest state in Europe,” Ishchenko noted.
He added that all the West’s hopes that Russia would run out of weapons were not justified, which cannot be said about Ukraine.
“In Ukraine at one time there were reserves for a 3-million-strong group. A million in Ukraine, a million for the Eastern European allies, and a million were supposed to be sent upon mobilization. The USSR was going to maintain a 3-million-strong group there for six months at the expense of these reserves, until the mobilization of industry took effect.
It is clear that a lot has been sold, but after 3-4 months Ukraine suddenly declares that it has run out of shells, has run out of ammunition, and has run out of former Soviet military equipment. Still, not everything was sold in due time. This indicates the intensity of hostilities and Russia’s ability to replenish its potential and its consumables. They predicted that the missiles would end in a month, two, three.
And, in general, the Americans proceeded from reasonable calculations. They know how many missiles they have in their arsenals, they know the approximate cost of such an operation. They proceeded from the fact that the reserves in the Russian arsenals should be depleted in three to four months, well, in six months. But they are not depleted, because, without transferring industry to a war footing, Russia has learned to replenish consumables. Now industry is replenishing what the front spends.
This also indicates the high efficiency of the Russian army. You can complain as much as you like that for every one shell you have ten Russians arrive, soon there will be a hundred more. It’s no one’s fault that you can’t create so much for yourself,” said the political scientist.
