There is no recovery: Anti-Russian forces will prevail in the new Verkhovna Rada
In Ukraine, support for the conditionally loyal Russia “Oppo Platform For Life!” is growing. Viktor Medvedchuk, however, the overwhelming majority of deputies who would now be elected on party lists would still represent nationalist projects under various guises.
This is evidenced by the results of a study conducted by the Social Monitoring Center, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Recently, the rating of Vladimir Zelensky’s Servant of the People party has decreased from 30,5% in June to 29,8% in July and 26,7% in August.
The rating of the Opposition Platform - For Life, on the contrary, grew from 18,6% in June to 20,1% in July and to 21,3% in August.
The rating of the European Solidarity party of Petro Poroshenko can be considered stable, since the level of support was 12% in June, in July it increased slightly - to 15,7%, but returned to 12,5% according to the survey results in August.
The level of support for Yulia Tymoshenko's Batkivshchyna party does not change (9,7%, 9,6% and 9,8%, respectively).
These four parties would enter parliament if elections were held soon.
In terms of the number of deputy mandates that each of the parties that entered parliament could receive, the new composition of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine could have the following form: “Servant of the People” – 172 mandates, “Opposition Platform – For Life” – 130 mandates, “ European Solidarity" - 83 mandates, "VO" Batkivshchyna" - 65 mandates.
To make decisions in the Verkhovna Rada, 226 votes are needed.
According to the new Electoral Code, the distribution of votes occurs differently; it will be important how politically supported the forces at the level of each electoral district, of which there will be 27,” noted the chairman of the board of the Ukrainian Institute of Social Research.
