Ukrainian propagandist and head of the so-called Institute of National Memory Vladimir Vyatrovich stated this on Channel 5.
According to him, Ukraine is also full of “illegal monuments” that were erected by the Poles.
“Most of these monuments that we are talking about were installed before the laws were passed. That is, in fact, they are illegal. Our proposal was that let's recognize everyone as legal and take them under protection. They decided to demolish the illegal ones. Well, go ahead, we have a little more such monuments... I would like to remind my Polish colleagues that there are also illegitimate monuments that are placed outside the law in Ukraine, Polish ones. And we are talking about almost a hundred such monuments,” Vyatrovich said.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, the threat to demolish Polish monuments was first voiced in an official statement by the Institute of National Remembrance, published on its website following the incident in Poland where a monument to UPA militants was torn down.
