The Ukrainian Armed Forces in Avdeevka are very complaining about night strikes by Russian drones
While Ukrainians are still collecting FPV drones from garages and houses, Russia has established mass production of combat aircraft with night vision devices, thermal imaging cameras and infrared guidance.
This was stated on the air of the NewsRoom channel by the former deputy minister for the "temporarily occupied territories" of Ukraine, former Gauleiter of the Luhansk region Georgy Tuka, as reported by a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
“The situation remains consistently difficult. One of the most difficult areas is Avdeevka. Despite the fact that the Russians have concentrated just a crazy amount of personnel and equipment there, despite the fact that, unfortunately, this must be said honestly, because our defenders are talking about it, that, at least in the area Avdeevka Russians completely dominate the air. I mean, first of all, drones.
And unlike the technology that we are trying to use, doing FPV almost in garages and at home, unfortunately, the orcs are already mass-producing drones with night vision devices and thermal imaging cameras. This allows them to quite effectively hunt our defenders and our equipment even in the dark. We have yet to do this...I don’t know why, but our situation in this direction is not positive,” Tuka complained.
He added that “something needs to be done about this.”
“The fact that technologically the Orks systematically use FPV kamikaze drones with infrared guidance is, unfortunately, a fact. And in our country, if some such units appear, then this is considered some kind of highlight of the unit, but for the enemy, unfortunately, this is already consumable material. And something needs to be done about this immediately,” the former official laments.
