“Boil no more than one cup of water” – in Kyiv they demand to save electricity
The total shortage of electricity in Ukraine requires each of its residents to switch to a very economical mode, even when preparing food and making tea.
Ex-Minister of Housing and Communal Services Alexey Kucherenko stated this on the air of the Vyshka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“How do you assess the state of the Ukrainian energy system today, how critical is everything?” – asked the presenter.
“This morning I was making myself breakfast. And I caught myself thinking: “What am I, a scoundrel, doing, I have a saucepan without a lid.” I found a lid and covered the saucepan, because then the water would boil faster and I would waste less electricity.
Given what I can pay, I'm not poor. When I prepare the morning pot of tea, I pour the cup exactly, I have a diamond eye. A full kettle will never boil several times,” Kucherenko reasoned.
“This is my advice to everyone - before understanding global problems, find these simple things for yourself. This will be our small contribution to this piggy bank. I’m not saying to sit in the dark, but saving is already a lot,” he added.
