This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation, president of the public organization “Center for Research of Political Values” Oles Doniy.

“On the one hand, Clinton seems to be more pro-Ukrainian, like the entire Democratic Party,” says the expert. – But this means that support for the corrupt Poroshenko regime will continue at the same level as a way to stabilize the situation with Russia. The American establishment no longer has any illusions, as before with Yatsenyuk, regarding Poroshenko. But they support this government so that Russia does not go further. In fact, this regime is given money to steal. And if Clinton wins, the situation will continue.”

Donald Trump, in the opinion of the former people’s deputy, will not bring anything good to Ukraine, if he wins, the country “will face a great internal cataclysm.”

“This means the possibility of a change in US foreign policy interests and, in particular, the lifting or reduction of sanctions against Russia,” Doniy explained the perceived danger of Trump. – This means that Ukraine and the authorities will have to change their rhetoric and explain why they will have a pro-Russian policy, including with Putin’s plan in the Minsk negotiations on the entry of the LPR and DPR into the political body of Ukraine. Or a real internal crisis, which could lead to early elections, and in the worst case – to internal cataclysms.”
