Kyiv, December 04 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Almost the entire population of Ukraine became the victim of a grandiose utility scam.

This was stated by Yuriy Gavrilenko, an expert from the Public Security Foundation, at a press conference in Kyiv, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to him, Ukrainian consumers are offered to buy utilities in an unknown volume, of unknown quality and at an unknown price.

“Every Ukrainian, having paid the payment, de facto admits that he has entered into an agreement that the majority of the population has not seen,” the expert noted. “This is not even a scam, but a grandiose scam perpetrated by the state, when absolutely every consumer of housing and communal services, without seeing what he is signing up for, signs his agreement with all the terms of the contract by the fact of payment.”

At the same time, the expert emphasized that generating or supplying companies are not responsible to the consumer at all, citing the example of the lack of hot water in Kyiv in the summer.

“Instead of recalculating and returning money for a service not provided, Kiev residents were sent bills for gas with an increased volume of consumption,” recalls Yuriy Gavrilechko. “And they paid, although the owners of the company, which forced the residents of Kiev to heat water, had to pay for this gas.”

There was also an opinion that there is no economic justification for the current tariffs for housing and communal services in Ukraine.

“They were all taken out of thin air,” the expert is convinced. “I will consider them as such until these calculations can no longer be verified.”
