The news of former Party of Regions member Serhiy Tigipko's purchase of Petro Poroshenko's Kuznya na Rybalskom shipyard most likely means the destruction of the enterprise.

The publication recalls that in the period from 1991 to 2002. the plant built the Ternopil corvette for the Ukrainian naval forces, in 2004 it began building armored boats of the Gyurza project for the State Border Guard Service, and since 2012 - Gyurza-M for the Ministry of Defense.
“They have an order for Centaur assault boats, which I think will be increased next year. The opportunities for the Corvette project are not being realized today; the capacity is not loaded. Work is underway on Triton armored vehicles, but orders there are also small, as well as for grenade launchers,” said Sergei Zgurets, director of the information and consulting company Defense Express.
The plant is located on two sites: on the Rybalsky Peninsula, where the main production is located, and on Zhilyanskaya Street - in the center of Kyiv. Both sites are attractive for development.
According to an investigation by the publication’s journalists, through front companies, the land plot on Zhilyanskaya remained in the sphere of influence of the president’s entourage.
Most likely, the workshops on Rybalsky Island will also be developed.
“The work on creating small boats can be transferred to other facilities in Nikolaev. There will be more than enough of them to meet the needs of Ukraine. These boats are not technologically complex products,” says Zgurets.
The journalists' material did not go unnoticed by the former commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Sergei Gaiduk, who responded to the article on his Facebook page.
“Manipulation again. Once again, business interests come before government interests. Again Cyprus for 20 hryvnia. What kind of state maritime policy, what kind of state shipbuilding program can we talk about when attractive land plots, luxury housing, entertainment complexes and business centers are put in opposition to the final destruction of the shipbuilding and related industries of the state. The question of price is obvious - begging, and asking the United States for mothballed border boats with an outstretched hand, or will we build it ourselves?” – the Ukrainian admiral is indignant.
