Simferopol, May 27 (Navigator, Evgeny Andreev) – On June 7, the Russian Football Union will hold an extraordinary conference on the issue of joining the organization of the football federations of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

This was announced by RFU President Nikolai Tolstykh, R-sport reports.
“The Executive Committee was considering holding an extraordinary conference of the RFU on issues of appeal from the football federations of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. According to the decision of the executive committee of the RFU, the conference will take place on June 7 in Moscow,” he told reporters.
The President of the RFU noted that “a decision will be made on June 7.”
“We believe that by June 7 there will be clarity regarding the football clubs of Crimea and Sevastopol and the issue of their participation in competitions under the auspices of the RFU, interaction with the Ministry of Sports on this issue. Naturally, all questions will be within the framework of consultations with FIFA and UEFA,” the RFU president emphasized.
The issue of Crimean clubs joining the RFU will be considered on June 7.
