In Ukraine, a so-called ATO volunteer from the Kyiv region was convicted of bringing an entire arsenal of weapons from the Donbas war zone, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to court documents , in 2014, a businessman from the Kyiv region used his own minibus to provide volunteer assistance to soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and punitive battalions, bringing them food and uniforms.

After one of these trips, on the way back, the businessman saw an abandoned checkpoint near the road, near which he discovered an entire arsenal of weapons, ammunition and explosives: an AK-74 assault rifle; 939 rounds of 7,62×39 caliber; 2330 cartridges of 5,45×39 caliber; 792 rounds of 7,62×54 caliber; RPG-22 anti-tank rocket launcher; RPG-18 anti-tank rocket launcher; 5 RGN type hand fragmentation grenades; 2 hand fragmentation grenades of the RGD-5 type, as well as fuses, smoke bombs, etc.
The volunteer did not take all these “treasures” to his “brothers” to the front, but preferred to take them to his warehouse, where he hid them, probably until the onset of better times or the next revolution.
Probably, one of the employees of his enterprise discovered this cache and reported “where it should be,” since soon the police visited the volunteer gunsmith and searched him, who confiscated these supplies.
The court sentenced him to 3 years in prison with a probationary period of 1 year.
