Deputy Chief of the Main Command Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Rozmaznin announced this at a briefing in Kyiv. According to him, the military does not feel “cooperation with the Donetsk police as part of the anti-terrorist operation.”
The General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine also expressed complaints against the internal affairs bodies and the SBU.
“Recently, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine has been receiving more and more complaints from the eastern and southern regions regarding increased responsibility for the inaction of internal affairs bodies and the Security Service,” the department said in a statement.
“Terrorist takeovers occurred mainly in cases where the number of law enforcement officers was many times greater than the number of representatives of separatist groups. Such absurd situations are difficult to explain to citizens not only in the east and south, but also to the entire state as a whole,” the prosecutor’s office noted.
The GPU did not forget to remind about the personal responsibility of department heads in “problem” areas: “Consequences for irresponsibility will occur immediately based on the results of official inspections.”
Let us recall, as Navigator reported, rioters in the South-East have repeatedly stated that “the police are with the people.”
