In addition to the reconstruction of the camp, dismantled monuments to Soviet leaders and artifacts from the USSR will be installed there.
The developer of the tourism concept of Dnepropetrovsk, Vladimir Panchenko, told Depo.Dnepr about this, according to whom such know-how will help attract tourists to the city.

So, at the entrance to the city, in the area of Slobodsky Prospekt, they plan to create a park where artifacts from Soviet times will be collected.
The project is currently at the development stage. However, by the end of 2016, through the efforts of the Ethnographic Parks enterprise, the park is planned to be opened.
On the territory of the park it is planned to arrange: an art, sports and festival area, a barbecue area, shops, an exhibition of retro cars and a reconstruction of the Gulag camp.
“Soviet period park” should become part of the new tourist route “Sovietindustrial”, which should be of interest to foreign tourists.
