The owner of the fake Ukrainian “Inkerman” complains to Zelensky: After 2014, things are heading towards disaster
Due to the lack of help from the state, which is unable to even lay an electric cable to power the enterprise, the agricultural sector of Ukraine is dying.
This was stated by the president of the Agrofusion group of companies, Sergei Sitko, during a round table with the heads of agricultural enterprises in the Kherson region, which took place in the presence of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are trying to launch a new plant in Chaplynka, but we are not succeeding, because the plant needs 6 megawatts of eclectic energy, but they are not there.
Oblenergo is not able to lay the cable for supplying electricity; they say that this can only be done in 2024. We are, of course, adventurers, but not to that extent. You can’t start a plant without electricity,” the entrepreneur complained.
In turn, the president of the Logos corporation, Valery Shamotiy, added that the wine industry has been on the verge of destruction since 2014.
“Today I will talk about the most sensitive and sophisticated industry - winemaking. Unfortunately, since 2014, this industry has been on the verge of destruction.
Vineyards are a strategic raw material for wine production; today, this raw material base is catastrophically declining. Before 2014, we had 90 thousand hectares of vineyards, today there are 40 thousand.
In addition to the raw material base lost in Crimea, we have been losing vineyards in this area over the years. It’s no secret that in the same Kherson region, many farmers uprooted grapes, replacing them with other crops, because they were unprofitable,” Shamotiy complained.
Back in 2014, Shamotiy, as the owner of the Inkerman brand registered in Ukraine, moved part of the production to the Kherson region. This happened due to the fact that Ukraine refused to allow wine from Crimea to pass with Russian excise stamps.
The Ukrainian market was extremely important for the owners of Inkerman, since even before 2014 the company spent significant funds on advertising in order to take one of the first places in sales in Ukraine.
Considering Shamotiy’s statements about the reduction of the raw material base, one can only guess about the quality of the Ukrainian fake “Inkerman”.
