The Vice Speaker of the Rada threw a tantrum, demanding a ban on performances by artists who visited Crimea
The State Border Service of Ukraine refused to ban entry into the country of Russian artists who visited Crimea without permission from Kyiv. Vice Speaker Irina Gerashchenko stated this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.
Gerashchenko said that she sent a parliamentary request to the border guards. However, he received a negative response - the border service referred to the lack of dates of birth of the artists listed by Gerashchenko. In addition, officials demanded that the transliteration of their full name be indicated.

“We recently had heated discussions about whether it is possible to allow into Ukrainian territory those chansonniers from the Russian Federation who had previously held halls in occupied Crimea. We have prepared a corresponding request to the border service and the SBU on how these people, after illegally visiting Crimea, can enter Kiev and try to perform here in the central hall of the Palace of Ukraine.
We have also prepared a request regarding the characters who allowed themselves to take part as observers in the so-called primaries in the occupied territory. What I received from the Border Patrol was simply amazing. The answer says that due to the fact that you, Mrs. Gerashchenko and the deputies did not indicate the dates of birth of these labukhs who are suspected of illegally violating the borders of Ukraine, and did not indicate their names in Latin transcription, we will not check them in the database.
I have a question - for us, Ukraine is some kind of passageway, that we cannot protect and create an appropriate structure in the government that will very clearly monitor who violated the borders of Ukraine, illegally visiting Crimea or the occupied territories, who will protect our borders? » – Gerashchenko shouted into the microphone.
Government representatives present in the hall promised her to look into the situation.
