This was stated by Vice-Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oksana Syroed on the air of the talk show People. Hard Talk LIVE.
“This is not a solution to the conflict, it is simply capitulation. This indicates that the path we chose was wrong. Now is the moment to stop, look and try to change the situation. If this is not done now, if the strategy is not changed, then I am sure that Russia will take any action to implement this plan. As a result, this will lead to a greater escalation of the conflict than would have happened if an alternative path had been sought. Russia did Ilovaisk for Minsk-1, Debaltsevo for Minsk-2, and now it will do it somewhere else,” Syroed predicts.
The Vice-Speaker offers a radical way to solve the problem.
“We must make a decision, a law and recognize the occupation of part of the territory of Ukraine by Russia, name the occupier. Why don't the government and the Verkhovna Rada do this? To do this, we need to burn down the Lipetsk factory. And then our hands will be free,” said the vice speaker.
