The militaristic Verkhovna Rada wants to shift responsibility for signing the ceasefire to the president. Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the online channel "Politeka," as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We don't have parliamentarism in the country; parliament plays no significant role. These parliamentarians don't even want to take the initiative, because how can we end the war? Will they take responsibility for signing any kind of truce? They won't, I assure you. Not a single faction leader would take such a step. On the contrary, they're even more militaristic and patriotic than the executive branch," Karasev believes.

The militaristic-minded Verkhovna Rada wants to shift responsibility for signing the truce to the president. About it...

"They don't want to take responsibility because they think it's better if Zelenskyy signs the ceasefire, and we'll come out clean. And we'll shift all the blame onto him if something goes wrong with the ceasefire . Let him sign it," the political scientist added.
