Washington is trading Ukraine for the Middle East
Washington decided to exchange Ukraine for solving Middle Eastern problems.
Director of the Ukrainian Policy Foundation Kost Bondarenko came to this conclusion during a press conference in Kyiv, assessing the visit of the US Secretary of State to Sochi.

“If anyone watched the press conference between Lavrov and Kerry on the results of the negotiations, then a third of the time devoted to various issues concerned Syria and it was the Syrian issue that was focused on,” the political scientist emphasized. – From which I conclude that an exchange took place between the USA and Russia. The United States received certain preferences in the Middle East, while deciding that it was necessary to close the topic of Ukraine, and somehow put the brakes on the Ukrainian conflict. I think an exchange has taken place, which, in principle, Yatsenyuk and Poroshenko were told about in European capitals - Berlin and Paris. We saw how Yatsenyuk and Poroshenko had quite a difficult time communicating with the press during their visits, which was not the case before.”
The expert believes that the Donbass issue will now move into a new direction.
“Most likely, international players will try in every possible way to somehow freeze the conflict, or bring it to some new plane - the plane of discussion as to whether Ukraine should change its internal structure,” predicts Kost Bondarenko.
