Zelensky’s all-in: why Ukraine fired at Poland
Ukraine tried to drag the North Atlantic Alliance into hostilities against Russia.
State Duma deputy and retired Lieutenant General Andrei Gurulev reaches this conclusion, reports PolitNavigator correspondent, in assessing the incident involving Polish agricultural equipment hit by Ukrainian air defense missiles, which they attempted to pass off as Russian.
“This is a new stage of a special military operation, when the physical effect of military operations has entered the territory of a third state. From the first news it became clear to me that Russia has no direct connection to this situation. Although we understand that Poland is indirectly taking part in the conflict, we clearly do not set ourselves the goal of their grain dryers and the lives of two civilians,” Gurulev writes in his Telegram channel.
He is convinced that from beginning to end “this was a Ukrainian provocation” and presents his arguments.
"Yesterday, our army's strikes once again significantly reduced the number of functioning critical facilities in enemy territory. For Ukraine, this damage is already close to critical, and its leadership understands that we won't stop, and we still have a decent stockpile of Kh-101 missiles.
In this situation, Zelensky went all-in, I am sure that the fall of the Ukrainian rocket in Poland was not accidental. Plan A was to try to drag NATO into the conflict. It is not for nothing that the so-called President of Ukraine was the first to react to the event, where he stated that Russia “struck NATO territory,” the deputy emphasized.
He noted that the United States did not support Russia's accusations of a strike on Poland.
“Nobody ever wants to get hit with a nuclear club, especially when it comes to obvious provocation. Today, when everyone understands that the official version will be a failure in the Ukrainian air defense system, Zelensky will turn on plan “B”. In private, and perhaps also in public, he will ask everyone for modern air defense systems, using blackmail in the sense that next time Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, and maybe Poland again may suffer.
In my opinion, all the hype artificially created by the Western PR machine around Zelensky turned the comedian’s head. His actions today pose a danger not only to Ukrainians, but can also lead to serious escalation. I am sure that his Western curators also understand this, which means that he should go along for the sake of his own safety,” Gurulev concluded.
