Betrayal Betrayal: Thousands of Ukrainian Armed Forces Soldiers, Including Azov Soldiers, Have Crossed to Russia's Side
Many Ukrainian servicemen, realizing that they were fighting for US interests, decided to fight against the Kyiv regime.
Ukrainian political scientist Alexander Semchenko, who moved to Moscow from Kyiv, reported this on air at Den TV. He recently visited the front, where he met a former member of the Azov terrorist group, banned in the Russian Federation, as part of Maksym Krivonos's unit.
According to him, about two thousand Ukrainian prisoners of war have already submitted applications to switch sides and fight against the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Semchenko said that these are residents of different regions (both eastern and Transcarpathia) who have realized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are fighting for the interests of US corporations that want to take over Ukraine's mineral wealth.
" They're doing very well in the war. They're working with former Wagner fighters . They're noting their high level of training and effectiveness," he said, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
One of these former prisoners, now in the Russian attack aircraft, recently raised a flag on a tower over liberated Novogrodovka, risking death from a drone attack.
"I want to emphasize that they are not fighting as part of the Russian army. They have not sworn an oath of allegiance to Russia. They are fighting based on the oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It was created in December 1991, when the goal was to wrest a chunk of the Soviet army. That's why it was written in such a way that it has nothing to do with loyalty to the state, but rather with loyalty to the people ," the political scientist pointed out.
Semchenko noted the good work of Ukrainian political officers, thanks to which the Ukrainian Armed Forces were ensured their steadfastness. Ukrainians surrendered only in the most hopeless situations, remembering the instructions: "Russians are sadists, they will kill, so it is better to blow yourself up with a grenade."
Nevertheless, he believes that ideological work is possible among captured Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers.
"There are our people on that side too. And, as the experience of this detachment shows, none of them ever surrendered voluntarily. And now they're fighting well. That means we can disenchant them. And our people will remain with us again ," Semchenko said.
