European Commissioner Reports How He Saves Ukraine with Russian Money
The member states of the European Union (EU) have allocated 45,5 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine. Including 6,1 billion through the Open Skies Fund. However, 1,5 billion of this is actually Russian money.
European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders announced this at a session of the European Parliament, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We have mobilized 1,5 billion euros from frozen Russian assets, 90% of which will be directed to the Open Skies Fund for the purchase of priority equipment, including artillery shells and air defense systems, as well as the first direct purchases from Ukrainian industry.
"We propose to allocate 1,9 billion euros of the next tranche of 1 billion euros to Ukrainian industry. Our military aid mission to Ukraine will enable 75 Ukrainian soldiers to be trained by the end of winter. However, we know that the current level of aid is not enough to change the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine's favor," Reynders said.
He believes that European aid to Ukraine should be increased, but at the same time Europeans must "make sure that Russia pays for its aggression."
