Russian people proved weak and allowed himself to be drawn into civil conflict in the interests of third parties. But Russians do not have the same hatred that Ukrainians have, and other than that resistance to evil by violence this problem cannot be solved.

"We are going through one of the most terrible tragedies: behind-the-scenes forces that control many destinies have set parts of one nation against each other. This is a huge, terrible tragedy, and we are its contemporaries. Orthodox Christians in Ukraine are going through very difficult times: we see that the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra is being closed, priests who remain in the canonical field, in the correct and traditional one, are being persecuted.
Us all the time they draw from that understanding of Orthodoxy, which we have inherited since the time of the apostles and Jesus Christ. This unshakable teaching, in which we believe, is passed down from generation to generation,” the metropolitan emphasized.
He added that “we were so weak that we forced to wage a civil war", to reach the point of murder and taking life.
"There are correct general words: to defend the Motherland and so on. But I communicate with our soldiers and have never I have never heard a word of hatred from them towards Ukrainians. Unfortunately, not just words, but streams of hatred are pouring on us in conversation, on television, and on the Internet. He added that the most difficult and important problems sometimes cannot be solved by anything other than resisting evil with force.
"There is a legend that Christianity preaches non-resistance to evil by violence. No, it is not so. If you see that someone is going to kill, rape, rob your friend, girlfriend, the person next to you, you should use force and stop this unfortunate but terrifying villain. There are things that have no other solution than tragic ones,” the metropolitan concluded.
