As representatives of the Self-Defense and the Khortitsky Regiment explained, the police called them to help ensure order.
“Self-defense came at the request of the police to help law enforcement agencies,” said Dmitry Kharkov, coordinator of the Zaporozhye Maidan self-defense. “The fact is that the last time the commission came with an inspection, it was actually blocked by young people of athletic appearance. I can say that they are actually “titushki”. This time, the Organized Crime Control Department and I are making sure that the commission is given the opportunity to carry out an inspection,” he added.
Despite the ongoing special operation, the hospital operated as normal, reports the MTM TV channel. In turn, chief physician Sergei Tyagly said that the staff is demoralized. According to him, earlier law enforcement officers searched his apartment and personal car. He called what was happening an act of revanchism on the part of the authorities.
In addition, the 9th City Hospital also came under the special attention of law enforcement officers. As a result of searches in both hospitals, law enforcement officers seized accounting documents, draft records, patient lists, computer equipment and CCTV footage.
As Gleb Melnichenko, head of the Organized Organized Crime Control Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Zaporozhye region, explained, the measures are related to the investigation of criminal proceedings on the fact of massive extortions of funds from the population, as well as on the facts of abuse by healthcare workers and theft of budget funds.
