A campaign has begun in the Western media to draw Bosnia into NATO
The Dayton Accords, on the basis of which Bosnia and Herzegovina was created in 1995, must be renegotiated.

“The Dayton Accords turned Bosnia into an ungovernable state... The legitimacy of the Dayton Constitution is now being questioned. It was not created democratically and contains many provisions that are contrary to international law. For example, representatives of many of the country's minorities, such as Roma and Jews, are excluded from presidential candidates,” the article says.
The material recalls that Serbia and the Republika Srpska are opposed to the revision, which fears that Dayton 2 will call into question its very existence.
“Will Bosnia never be able to change its Constitution without asking permission from its not very friendly neighbors - Serbia and Croatia? Well, of course not. For this to happen, the way must finally be cleared, and this requires support from the international community, especially the EU,” the article says.
Earlier, the Serbian member of the Presidium of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, stated that any talk about changing the Dayton Accords would mean “a death sentence for Bosnia and Herzegovina” and the withdrawal of the Republika Srpska from its membership.
The current rights of the Republika Srpska make it possible to block Bosnia's movement into NATO.
“There is no support among our people for the idea of joining NATO. In addition, we do not want to be part of an organization that is in unfriendly relations with Russia,” Dodik said.
