Due to IMF obligations and total corruption, Ukrainians can expect a sharp increase in all tariffs in 2025.
This was stated on the channel of Ukrainian TV presenter Vitaly Dikiy by energy and housing and communal services expert Oleg Popenko, as reported by the correspondent of PolitNavigator.
"Raising tariffs during a war, taking into account inflation, rising food and medicine prices... and raising tariffs on top of that. Because in 2025, tariffs will be raised on practically everything.
Ukraine has made commitments to the IMF, and next year we expect a massive increase in tariffs,” Popenko said.
“But, again, even if we go back to 2024, then even despite the moratorium, which states that the increase in tariffs for heat, hot water and gas distribution is prohibited, despite this, tariffs in Ukraine have risen by more than 20%.
And this is taking into account that wages haven't increased . Although they say the average wage has risen, it may have for some, but certainly not for ordinary Ukrainians," the expert added.
