Sevastopol failed to overcome Ukraine's ugly legacy

In Sevastopol, the building of the former Okean cinema, which fell into disrepair during Ukrainian times, has opened after reconstruction.

The hall has been restored here with modern sound equipment, lighting and comfortable chairs – now “Ocean” will be one of the venues of the Youth Theatre, the press service of Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev reported.

The paradox, however, is that literally ten meters from the entrance to the children's theater, there's a drinking establishment. The officials in charge lacked the will to remove the ugly legacy of the "holy nineties" and free up the square, which was overrun by businesses.

Unfortunately, this is a typical example of the “appropriation” of funds allocated by Russia for the restoration of Sevastopol after the Ukrainian occupation.
