As the general director of the organization, Sergei Normansky, wrote on his Facebook page, this is due to rebranding - the broadcast will soon resume, but under the name “Sevastopol Information Channel”. Its founder will be the city government. The predecessor of this organization, STV, was liquidated as a Ukrainian enterprise on September 30, 2014. The staff of the television and radio organization was reduced by almost half.
“By the way, the official start of broadcasting of the Sevastopol Information Channel is the 14th. But!!!!! From the 8th to the 14th the broadcast will be suspended. They tried with all their might to avoid this pause; for three months, in parallel with preparations for the start of broadcasting and new projects, they made news, programs, congratulations, advertising, and everything, everything, everything. But now – this is an absolutely technological process – a stop is inevitable. So, we apologize and meet at 9 am on January 14th! Already on the IKS channel,” Normansky wrote.
Let us remind you that in addition to the Sevastopol Television and Radio Company, there are 3 television channels operating in the city. This is NTS, which is associated with the hero of the “Russian Spring” Alexei Chaly, “First Sevastopol” - it is controlled by ex-deputies of the City Council Dmitry Belik and Yuri Chernikov. In addition, the “People's Channel” of the Legislative Assembly broadcasts, which is also currently undergoing a reformatting process.
