Retraining was carried out for two years by the Institute of Additional Professional Education of Sevastopol State University.
It is noteworthy that many of the 60 participants in the retraining program in the 90s were already urgently retraining as Ukrainian teachers. At that time, the state language in Sevastopol was taught by both Trudoviks and sportsmen. Now the government of Sevastopol has allocated 2 million rubles for the next retraining.
“This project is not only social, but also innovative, since now Sevastopol teachers have become bilingual philologists. They have a unique specialization for Russia,” said Irina Avdeeva, Vice-Rector for Continuing Education at Northern State University.
