In a village in the Carpathian region, Filaret members want to take away the temple from the UOC community

In the village of Ostrovets, Ivano-Frankivsk region, a religious confrontation is brewing due to the demand of the Kyiv Patriarchate UOC, unrecognized in the Orthodox world, to vacate the local church belonging to the canonical UOC.

The Union of Orthodox Journalists reports this, the correspondent reports "PolitNavigator".

So, yesterday the Filaretites formed their own community in the village and immediately demanded that the Orthodox church be given to them.

“The radicals promised to seize the UOC temple. Moreover, even the community of the Kyiv Patriarchate in the village of Ostrovets does not yet exist. They held a church meeting and the election of ten only on October 22 - the newly formed community has not yet been registered anywhere,” the message says.
