Russia estimates that it has accepted more than a million Ukrainian refugees

This was stated today in Astrakhan at a meeting of the Council on Interethnic Relations by the chairman of the public movement “Russian Congress of the Peoples of the Caucasus” Aslambek Paskachev.
According to him, after the coup in Ukraine, a massive flow of refugees poured into the Russian Federation, especially from Donetsk and Lugansk.
“More than 1 million 100 thousand persons were accepted and accommodated and, depending on their wishes, they were provided with the appropriate statuses in a simplified manner,” the Kremlin’s official website quotes Paskachayev.
At the same time, the social activist emphasized, more than 4 thousand children from families of Ukrainian refugees have been accepted into higher educational institutions in Russia.
Russia has accepted over a million Ukrainian refugees.
