In Russia, only oligarchs will benefit from Zelensky’s new course – expert
The new oligarchic system that will be built in Ukraine during the presidency of Vladimir Zelensky will not bring significant improvements to Russian-Ukrainian relations and can only be beneficial to representatives of large Russian businesses.
Denis Denisov, director of the Institute of Peacemaking Initiatives and Conflictology, stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The configuration of the political system in Ukraine will be changed and it will return to the format of neo-oligarchy, which we have already encountered, and within which there is competition between several financial and industrial groups in the economic and political planes.
On the one hand, it may seem that such a format will be beneficial for the Russian Federation, since we have already worked with such a format, but at the same time, we must speak honestly, the beneficiaries on the Russian side from such a format are exclusively representatives of large businesses, who quite often put their own interests above the interests of the state.
It should also be noted that most of the key counterparties on the Ukrainian side are individuals who, during the so-called Maidan after the coup, financed and created punitive battalions that did everything to destroy the Donbass republics and civilians,” the expert noted.
