This was stated in a report by the publication “Ukrainian News”, according to which Yanukovych provided financial support for events in a number of cities: Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and assistance to veterans of the Great Patriotic War in these cities.

In particular, Yanukovych’s money was used to purchase food packages for WWII veterans and provide them with financial assistance.

Ukrainian media have uncovered Yanukovych's traces in the devastating May 9 protests.
