The Rada became nervous: “We are losing support in the UN”
Ukraine is rapidly losing support in the UN - from year to year, Kyiv’s initiatives are supported by fewer and fewer countries.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Alena Shkrum stated this on the air of the talk show "Right to Power," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Unfortunately, we are losing our votes in the UN. And even on the resolution on human rights in Crimea, we lost six votes in three years. There were, if I’m not mistaken, 73 countries “For”, and already this year we have only 67 votes for this resolution. We are losing votes and wasting time, in my opinion, because we are not taking a strong enough position,” Shkrum said.
Earlier, Mejlis journalist and fugitive Russian liberal Ayder Muzhdabaev stated that the UN votes on Ukrainian resolutions should not be viewed as victories , because while approximately 70 countries supported the initiatives, nearly a hundred voted against or abstained.
