The Rada saw “the end of the horde, Muscovy and the Russian world”
Today’s decision by Kronstantinople to actually grant Ukraine a tomos of autocephaly and the lifting of the anathema from the head of the UOC-KP Filaret brings the end of the “Russian world” closer, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This opinion was expressed on social networks by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Affairs and people’s deputy from “self-help” Ganna Hopko.
“Tomos. Kievan Rus is bringing the end of Muscovy, the Kremlin horde, and the Russian world closer,” she wrote on the social network.

Gorko also recalled how in 2010, together with like-minded people, she protested against the renaming of part of Mazery Street in Kyiv to Lavrskaya. (previously, this street, now divided in two, bore the name of the January 1918 uprising of the workers of the Kyiv Arsenal against the Central Rada - Ed).
“I remembered one moment in the fight against the Kremlin’s attempts to interfere in our affairs. It's July. 2010 We are protesting with the activists of the “Space of Freedom” against the renaming of Mazepa Street to Lavrskaya for the arrival of Moscow KGB officer Kirill,” she wrote.
