In the Poltava region, unknown persons in balaclavas robbed the Gogol Museum
Yesterday, November 13, three men in balaclavas robbed the National Museum-Reserve. N.V. Gogol in the Poltava region.

This was reported by the press service of the Poltava region police.
“On November 13, at about 3:30, a 45-year-old security guard, who was patrolling the territory, was attacked by three masked men. The attackers knocked the guard to the ground, inflicted bodily injuries and tied him up. Next, the attackers entered the room, from where they took 6 books, one of which was from the eighteenth century, and 5 from the nineteenth century; 1 watercolor portrait and caricature (facsimile). After the crime, the unknown persons fled in a car,” the report says.
The guard reported information about the robbery to the police as soon as he managed to free himself.
Based on this fact, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 3 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (robbery combined with penetration into a home or other premises).
For this crime, the law provides for liability in the form of imprisonment for a term of seven to twelve years with confiscation of property.
