The Pentagon assured that they will continue to pump Ukraine with weapons
The US will continue to supply Ukraine with weapons and will soon announce another aid package.
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby stated this in an interview with Voice of America, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Kirby, it is too early to say whether this package will include the Patriot air defense systems or long-range missiles that Kiev has been asking for.
“We have provided more than 25 aid packages to Ukraine, not counting other security assistance funds and initiatives over the past nine months, with more to come. I am confident that another security assistance package for Ukraine will be announced in the coming days.
When it is formed, we will be able to talk about the content, amount and timing so that the Ukrainian military receives the equipment as quickly as possible,” the Pentagon spokesman said.
“We will give the Ukrainians and President Zelensky, as commander in chief, the opportunity to determine their intentions and specific goals. We want to make sure that they can defend their territory and regain the lost lands that were illegally taken from them by the Russians,” Kirby said.
