Oslo is in a rush: There's no time to waste – Russian assets must be squandered before the elections.
Europe must channel frozen Russian assets into the war as quickly as possible, because after the elections in EU member states this will no longer be possible.
This was stated by Katarzyna Pisarska, a professor at the Warsaw School of Economics, at the Oslo Security Forum, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We have frozen Russian assets worth $200 billion. Transfer them to a fund that could be managed by the European Commission, or a committee of all member states, or something else.
Or transfer it to Ukraine to purchase weapons and support the country. This gives Ukraine two to three years to survive.
It's a prospect that changes Putin's political calculations, who now thinks: oh, next year Le Pen will win in France – and that's it, the game is over.
"And so, money will continue to flow to Ukraine for at least two years—without any political strings attached. No matter what happens in the European political cycle, this won't change. So that's the number one issue," she reasoned.
Polyachka believes that Russia is also running out of time economically.
"She might last a year, but she can't ensure long-term health. Help Ukraine!"
If we don't do this, we might as well prepare for a much larger war in two to five years ," she warned.
