As reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , Ivan Kirichevsky, an expert at the Defense Express information and consulting agency and now a serviceman, stated this in a conversation with journalist Lyudmila Nemyrei.
He noted that French President Emmanuel Macron is counting on selling weapons produced in his country to Ukraine.
"The course Macron is talking about is precisely what leads to our strategic strengthening, despite the paradox we face," the guest said.
According to him, the French SCALP EG cruise missiles, which are essentially the equivalent of the British Storm Shadow, do not have American components.
“And there is no problem with directing them, for example, to Russian territory, because France has the necessary will, the necessary technology, and they do not have any restraining factors.
"But for the Americans, it's just the opposite. The Storm Shadow is supposedly a British missile. But technically, we were only able to use a British missile against Russian territory with the goodwill of the United States, which could revoke that goodwill at any time," Kirichevsky reasoned.
