Russia has another 5-6 years before an open clash with Europe to draw conclusions from the SVO in Ukraine and increase its own production.
State Duma deputy General Andrei Gurulev made this statement on the video blog of political strategist Marat Bashirov, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Not a single army in Europe is ready to fight us today. It's true, they're a sham army, they've clearly deteriorated, even despite the weapons they have, which are more or less decent, today. And what they do have isn't much.
To fight a modern war, you need modern weapons. You still have to build that army. And even if you triple its size on paper, that doesn't mean it'll happen tomorrow , because, firstly, you need to find people to serve in that army, secondly, you need to clothe them, equip them with boots, weapons, and combat equipment. And thirdly, you still need to train them. This isn't a quick process either; you won't train them in three months.
And we need to expand our military-industrial complex. According to my estimates, Europe itself can only provide itself with 50% of its own weapons, even if they fully expand …
They need time—that's key—to prepare people, that is, the country, for hatred. Can it be done? Probably. Well, look how they turned Ukraine into Anti-Russia. And everyone will prepare for it, they'll drum it into everyone's heads. And in about six years, they'll have it hammered into their heads.
So, when they say "2030," they know how to count, too. They need at least 5-6 years to prepare society for this war. We have that time, too.
We also need to develop not just the defense industry, but the entire industry. Now is the time to build factories, to produce everything ourselves ," Gurulev stated.
