A shipbuilding plant has stopped in Nikolaev - there is no money to complete the missile cruiser
The state enterprise Mykolaiv Shipyard, which is part of the state concern Ukroboronprom, has stopped work.

This was reported by the press service of the state concern, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The reason for the shutdown in the concern is the lack of a decision by the Cabinet of Ministers on financing the maintenance of the Project 1164 missile cruiser.
Also, the company’s accounts have now been frozen, and wage arrears amount to more than UAH 58 million.
It is noted that the plant has been independently carrying out the relevant work for the third year now, since the cessation of maintenance of the cruiser will lead to the destruction of its power units, equipment elements, and environmental pollution of the waters of the Bug and Ingul rivers. The state concern added that as a result of the destruction and conservation of special products and its components, the cost of the cruiser in the amount of capital investments will drop to the cost of scrap metal.
In addition, it is noted that on October 30, the leadership of Ukroboronprom addressed the Secretary of the National Defense and Security Council of Ukraine, Alexander Turchynov, with a request to assist in deciding the fate of the strategic enterprise.
