The Netherlands is preparing to leave the EU and cooperate with Russia
In the Netherlands, a project is being prepared to hold a referendum similar to Brexit. Geert Wilders, leader of the Freedom Party, which today leads in public opinion polls in the Netherlands, spoke about this in an interview with Izvestia.

“The well-being of our country depends on independence and the ability to make decisions ourselves,” the politician emphasized. – The events of recent months have shown that we must quickly resolve the issue of a referendum on EU membership. Brussels should not dictate with whom we have economic and political relations. Restoring ties with Russia is a priority for a traditionally trading country, as the Netherlands has always been. For many centuries, our states, despite existing conflicts, found only benefits from mutual cooperation. And today, the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions is a necessary condition for our prosperous future.”
“Brussels makes decisions based only on its own interests, without listening to the opinions of the people, and the European Union itself is an expansionist monster that is busy with territorial seizure, as well as the theft of our social system, identity and democracy,” added Geert Wilders. – Any decisions will have a fixed legal status only separately from the EU. We will become stronger economically, including thanks to ties and trade with Russia.”
Earlier, a referendum supported by the Freedom Party was held in the Netherlands, during which the majority of the country's residents opposed the ratification of the association agreement with Ukraine.
