In Moscow they propose to beat Bartholomew on his territory
In response to the approval of the creation of Ukrainian autocephaly by Constantinople, nothing prevents Russia from strengthening the influence of the Moscow Patriarchate in Turkey.
The director of the Human Rights Center of the World Russian People's Council, religious scholar Roman Silantyev, said this on air on the Spas TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Turkey, the Orthodox population of the Moscow Patriarchate is two orders of magnitude larger than that of Constantinople. There are practically no churches, people complain. What prevents us from opening dioceses there that will be quite populous? Study the same Turkish Orthodox Church, maybe even re-ordain its bishops, if there are any left there?” Silantiev suggested.
As PolitNavigator reported, a Russian political scientist previously called the idea of Ukrainian autocephaly the creation of an institution for blessing fratricide.
