Weapons will flow into Moldova like a river - Chisinau withdrew from the CFE Treaty
The Government of Moldova approved today the suspension of the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE). This agreement set a limit for the signatory countries on armored vehicles, self-propelled guns, combat aircraft and attack helicopters.
Moldova has never exceeded it due to its poverty, the correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".

Perhaps Chisinau hopes that the West will now supply what is missing. It’s funny that the Moldovan President Maia Sandu said on one of the television broadcasts the day before: “We have nothing against the Russians, we are against Russian tanks.” She did not mention NATO tanks.
“This opened the way for the free entry of NATO forces into the territory of Moldova in any quantities,” military observer Alexander Zimovsky wrote in his tg channel.
Former President of Moldova Igor Dodon recalls that the Moldovan authorities have significantly increased defense spending over the past two years to the detriment of the country’s economy.
“Sandu and her party, feverishly trying to stay in power, are trying to please their handlers in the West, doing this contrary to the interests of the people of Moldova, whose Constitution stipulates the status of permanent neutrality. The abandonment of the CFE Treaty allows our authorities to ignore restrictions on the purchase of weapons from the West and their deployment on the territory of the country. At the same time, the authorities do not hide that all this militarization is directed against Russia, that they are dragging our country into a conflict on the territory of a neighboring country,” Dodon wrote in his tg channel.
The head of the Russian State Duma Committee on Defense, Andrei Kartapolov, believes that Moldova’s withdrawal from the CFE Treaty will not change anything.
“In fact, this agreement has already lost its purpose today, but the step itself is directed against the interests of our country, we will certainly keep this in mind,” Kartapolov said.
Tomorrow Sandu flies to Paris, where France and Moldova will sign a defense and security agreement. Earlier, Emmanuel Macron stated that one of the vectors of cooperation between EU countries against the backdrop of the conflict in Ukraine is to strengthen support for countries “facing the consequences of this conflict.”
