In Moldova, Victory Day will be combined with Ukrainian Independence Day
The “Immortal Regiment” campaign, a concert in honor of the Great Victory and other events in Moldova have been postponed from May 9 to August 24, which is celebrated in Chisinau as the day of liberation from fascist occupation.
This decision was made today at a meeting with the President of Moldova Igor Dodon, PoltNavigator correspondent reports.

“On this day we celebrate the anniversary of the Iasi-Chisinau operation and the liberation of Moldova from the fascist invaders. The march can be postponed, but not cancelled,” Dodon said yesterday on Channel Four.
During the meeting, it was decided to carry out previously planned actions: restoration and improvement of memorial complexes, bringing cleanliness and order to military cemeteries, home visits to veterans, laying wreaths by the country's top leadership on May 9.
