In Melitopol, Zaporozhye region, a paramedic of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, called up for mobilization, got off with three years in prison with a probationary period for an accident he committed, which ended in death for one local resident and hospitalization for the second.

This is stated in the court's decision, entered into the Unified State Register of Court Decisions of Ukraine, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
A serviceman, returning to his military unit in a UAZ service vehicle, at one of the intersections along 50th Anniversary of Victory Avenue in Melitopol, at a controlled pedestrian crossing, hit two women who were crossing the roadway at a traffic light. As a result, one of the victims died on the spot, and the second was taken to the hospital.
The court sentenced the paramedic of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to a disproportionately light sentence of three years in prison with a probationary period of one year.
