This was announced by the head of the ATO information department, Lieutenant Colonel Vladislav Seleznev.
“As of 20.15:XNUMX p.m. Monday, the fighting had stopped,” he said.
According to him, a special forces detachment was sent to help the border guards, as well as aviation. However, he did not specify whether the Luhansk border detachment was unblocked.
Seleznev also reported that 10 border guards of the Lugansk border detachment, according to preliminary data, were injured, including four seriously.
As Navigator reported, the militia began an assault on the Luhansk border detachment on Monday night. At about 00:30, about 100 armed people arrived at the border detachment headquarters; the first attack using machine guns and grenade launchers began at about 4:00. Later the number of armed men increased to at least 500. In the afternoon, the border guards agreed on a half-hour truce to evacuate the wounded. Then at about 19:00 the battle stopped again.
Let us remind you that today there was an explosion near the Regional State Administration building. The leadership of the "Luhansk People's Republic" stated that the cause was an airstrike.
