Kyiv, June 18 (Navigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – A critical situation with electricity supplies has developed in the Lugansk region. Oleg Khudoley, head of the technical department of the Energostandard company, announced this at a press conference in Kyiv.

“The situation in the Lugansk region today is very critical. A large number of consumers are suffering from power shortages,” he said.

According to Khudoley, five 35 kW lines and one 35 kW substation were disabled. For several days now, the Airport substation in the city of Lugansk itself, from which the Lugansk airport is powered, has been completely de-energized. At least seven settlements are without power.

“In principle, we know how to restore power supply. In my opinion, this requires a week, maximum 10 days. But first the fighting must stop,” says Oleg Khudoley.

According to him, now in the Lugansk region it is no longer possible to get to or from work. There is no transport, minibuses do not operate because they are blocked by various checkpoints.

“Vehicles are being seized by unknown armed people. They come and simply take cars from the crews,” Khudoley claims.
