A “Pandora’s box” has been opened in Crimea – Rostourism
Crimea needs to expand the scope of the holiday season and provide vacationers with quality service.
Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Alexey Konyushkov announced this at the Yalta International Economic Forum, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to the official, today the leadership of the peninsula no longer needs to chase the number of tourists, but attract them with high-quality and affordable service.
“We already understand that quantitative indicators have been, are and will be met. This is due to many factors - infrastructure decisions, such as roads and bridges. We have an economic forum and we are talking about tourism as a sector of the economy. Therefore, a quantitative indicator - yes, has a right to exist, they should be, are and will be, but now the financial and economic indicator is becoming the main one.
Let’s not hide the fact that the growth of both tax deductions in Crimea and the revenue side is very serious... But we need to integrate. Now the wonderful project “Golden Ring of the Bosporan Kingdom” is being implemented, a very cool idea, this is very correct.
I see potential not only in quantitative terms, but, first of all, in economic terms. Next, a “Pandora’s box” in the form of a bridge has been opened; now we will have a railway bridge by the end of the year. Everyone understands what Crimea must prepare for - if there are no new and decent accommodation facilities... we want to relax quite comfortably and at the same time not be blocked. This is right. In any case, we must understand that Crimea is 365 days a year, and now it’s not very busy, meaning that the peak season needs to be expanded, the season needs to be expanded,” Konyushkov said.
